Updating of opening balance in TALLY as per closing balance w.e.f. 01.04.2023 in all units of KVS-reg.

UPDATION OF OPENING BALANCE IN TALLY.

KVS HQ New Delhi issue a letter to all Deputy Commissioner regarding to order to all KVs under their jurisdiction regarding updation of opening balance in tally as per closing balance w.e.f 01.04.2023 in all units of KV.

This is in continuation to this office letter of even no. dated 07-11-2023 vide which all ROs & ZIETs were instructed to forward the opening balances of Balance Sheet for the Financial year 2023-24 to all the concerned units and also to KVS HQ.

In this connection, it has been reported by the tally officials that only few Kendriya Vidyalayas have updated the opening balances in the Tally software.

Therefore all ROs are directed to ensure updating of opening balances for Financial Year 2023-24 on tally software latest by 21-11-2023.

It is also directed that 06 months entries i.e. upto Sep, 2023 should be completed latest by 21.11.23 including authenticated opening balances.

It is pertinent to mention that a VC is proposed to be conducted in the near future with all DCs and FOs to obtain the status of updating of opening balances and completion of all entries up to September, 2023. The KVS HQ is planning to freeze the entry of transactions up to Sept, 2023 in the near future.

You may be aware that the ultimate purpose of implementation of web based tally software/system is to prepare the Annual Accounts uniformly on real time basis, it is therefore requested that instructions issued by KVS HQ should be complied in letter and spirit.

Revised Chapter 21 - Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (VVN)

Revision of Chapter 21 of Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (VVN) Kendriya Vidyalay Sangathan issued a letter regarding revised chapter 21 of Vidyalya Vikas Nidhi vide letter No. 110240/06/2009/KVS(HQ)/Budget, dated 28.12.2016 KVS proposal for revision of Chapter 21 Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi was put up before the Finance Committee in its meeting held on 18.5.2016. The recommendations of Finance Committee were placed for approval of BOG of KVS and the BOG of KVS approved the said recommendation of Finance Committee of KVS in its meeting held on 15.11.2016  Up to 31.3.1999, the Sangathan was charging money from students over and above tuition fee (to the extent applicable) under the following heads:- 1.
